RefWorks Fundamentals - Class Materials and Information: RefWorks Fundamentals

RefWorks is a management program that allows one to build a bibliographic database.

Class Description

Goal -- To use RefWorks to collect references, create citations and format documents.

Objective -- By the end of the session participants should be able to: Create a folder of references; Import references from PubMed and from Scopus into a specific folder; Search for citations within RefWorks; Create a bibliography using a particular style.

Write-n-Cite

If you are running OS X 10.10 Yosemite or OS X 10.11 El Capitan, you will need to download a specific version of Java provided by Apple.  This version of Apple must be installed on the computer in order to run legacy applications such as Write-N-Cite 4 for Mac.  To download this specific version of Java visit, http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572.

After installing the version of Java provided by Apple, please also check if your computer has the latest version of Java installed as well.  To do this, open the Safari web browser and visit, http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp.
