Writing & Citing: Using Mendeley

GOAL: To use Mendeley to collect references, create citations, and format documents.

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the session participants should be able to:

  • Navigate the Mendeley web and desktop interfaces.
  • Create folders and projects to organize their references. 
  • Import references from PubMed and other research databases into Mendeley. 
  • Search for citations within Mendeley.
  • Download and use the Web Importer browser extension.
  • Download and set up Citation Plugin for Word.
  • Create in-text citations using a particular style
  • Create a bibliography using a particular style.
