Writing & Citing: Using RefWorks

GOAL: To use RefWorks to collect references, create citations, and format documents.

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the session participants should be able to:

  • Navigate the RefWorks interface.
  • Create folders and projects to organize their references. 
  • Import references from PubMed and other research databases into RefWorks. 
  • Search for citations within RefWorks.
  • Download and use the Save to RefWorks button.
  • Download and set up RefWorks' Word plugin.
  • Create in-text citations using a particular style
  • Create a bibliography using a particular style.
