NYMC Librarians are committed to developing the information literacy skills of our patrons: recognizing when there is a need for information, what types of information are needed, and how to locate, evaluate, utilize and manage the appropriate resources. Request a Resource
Faculty are encouraged to request additional materials that support the curriculum in their area of expertise. These materials improve the library's general coverage and support independent student and faculty research. Requests may be made in person, by e-mail, by phone, via your library liaison, or via your library account. To see what types of resources the library acquires, take a look at the library's collection development manual.
Course Reserves Request
Faculty are strongly encouraged to notify the library of all required titles to be placed on reserve prior to the beginning of the semester. Textbooks are purchased by request from faculty. They are not automatically purchased by the library. Please notify the library when required texts are changed. To request an item for the course reserves, fill out this form.
