Connecting to the Library's Electronic Resources from Off Campus


  • Navigate to the library's home page ( Click on LOGIN in the top left of the website:

  • You'll be directed to the following page:
  • Your Login will be either
    • Users with a Network ID: Your Network ID Login (LCME, NYMC email credentials) and password.  You must include the domain name:  Need a Network ID?
    • Users without a Network ID: Your login will be your firstname_lastname and your password is your library issued barcode.  If you do not have a barcode: Need a barcode?
  • Once your logon is verified, you will have access to the Library's resources as if you are on the campus network. The URLs you will see from here should begin -- if it says something else you are no longer logged in and should try again.



1. How do I get a Network ID?

NYMC Network IDs are handled through Information Technology.  You can find the form here.


2. How do I get a library barcode?

Library barcodes can be obtained either by coming into the library or calling 914-594-4200.  More information can be found here.


3. I think I have a barcode.  Where do I find it?

Your library barcode is on the back of your NYMC ID:

5. Requirements connecting to the Library Databases

A computer with Internet access, a NYMC Network ID or Library Barcode.  



Note: Use of the Library's electronic resources is limited to NYMC faculty, employees, students, residents, and fellows. Any unauthorized usage results in a violation of the Library contract. 

Logging into the Library website when you are off campus guarantees that you will have access to all of the Library databases. It also ensures that you'll be able to access full text ebooks, ejournals, and articles for all of our licensed content.

Student housing is considered off-campus because it is on a separate network.
