Legacy RefWorks

What is RefWorks?

Legacy RefWorks is web-based software which allows you to create a database of references, manipulate, organize and share the database, and use those references when writing papers. It is licensed by the Health Sciences Library for use by the New York Medical College community.

Legacy vs. New RefWorks

Currently, RefWorks is available using two platforms: Legacy RefWorks and New RefWorks. This guide will focus on Legacy RefWorks. Legacy users may migrate at their own pace as the legacy version currently has no set retirement date. For more information about the transition, visit the University of North Florida Thomas G. Carpenter Library's Transitioning to the New RefWorks page.

Creating an Account

1. Go to the Legacy RefWorks login page:

2. On the RefWorks login page, click on the "Sign Up for a New Account" link underneath the login box.
