What You Need to Know About University Printing

All student printing is managed by the Department of Information Technology.

  • Print/copy charges will be tracked by the Canon uniFLOW copier management system.
  • Funds can be added to your account with a credit card or PayPal account using the Canon uniFLOW Payment Gateway website.
  • Each new student is given one non-transferable free credit of $100 per year.
  • Current pricing is $.08 per printed/copied side black and white and $.15 per printed/copied side color
  • In the Main and Skyline libraries, only letter-size (8.5"x11") printing is available. 
  • Printing is set to double-sided by default. Single-sided must be selected before the job is sent to the queue.
  • Print jobs are securely released at the copier using your NYMC ID or network login.
  • You will be unable to perform a print/copy when your balance is insufficient to perform the action requested.
  • Print jobs not retrieved within 1 hour are automatically deleted from the queue.
  • After printing, logout and log back in to view your new remaining printing balance.
  • After 30 seconds of inactivity, the printer will automatically log you out. 
  • On occasion, a printer may malfunction. The support staff has the responsibility to make the final decision as to if a print/copy balance credit should be given. Print/copy balance credits will not be issued for mistakes made by the user.
  • Monetary refunds are not permitted.
