Claude W. Munger, M.D. (1889-1950) was the Director of Grasslands Hospital from 1924 to 1937. He was the namesake of the Munger Pavilion, which housed NYMC's clinical departments from 1972 to 2013.

Claude W. Munger, M.D. (1889-1950) served from 1924 to 1937 as the director of Grasslands Hospital, predecessor of the present-day Westchester Medical Center. He went on to serve as director of St. Luke's Hospital in New York City and was a nationally recognized authority on hospital administration, serving in 1937 as President of the American Hospital Association and from 1944 to 1946 as President of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dr. Munger was the namesake of the Munger Pavilion, the former tuberculosis pavilion at Grasslands Hospital, which was renamed in his memory in 1969. When New York Medical College relocated to Westchester County in 1972, the Munger Pavilion became the longtime home of the College's clinical departmental offices. The Munger Pavilion was decommissioned in 2013 with the opening of 19 Skyline Drive.
