Access Services

About Us

The Access Services Department maintains the database of registered library users and provides the core library services Circulation, Course Reserves, and Interlibrary Loan. Additionally, Access Services provides poster printing, coil binding and laminations services.

The Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library provides students and faculty with the ability to reserve study rooms and classrooms for collaborative or quiet study. Clicking on the links below will take you to the calendar of the library branch (Main or Skyline) that you choose. To book a room, click an open (green) time slot and fill the reservation form. A confirmation email will be sent to the address that you provide. Your confirmation email contains your reservation information and a link to cancel should you need it. 

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) is a document ordering system which allows registered patrons of the Capozzi Library to order resources (both books and articles) that the library does not own. For more information, please check out our ILLiad guide here.

The Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library offers coil binding service to the New York Medical College community. You can use this service to create spiral bound notes, manuals, or to rebind existing publications such as study guides, etc. For more information, please check out our Coil Binding guide here.

The Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library offers a lamination service to the New York Medical College community. This is a drop-off service; no appointments are necessary. You may drop off laminating materials any time during library service hours. A job will take up to two (2) business days to complete. You will be notified when your items are ready for pickup.

Cost for laminating is $1.00 per sheet. Payment is expected when materials are dropped off.  Maximum lamination size 9 x 11.5 inches.

Disclaimer: Due to the heat process involved in lamination and the possibility of special coatings on the materials, on rare occasions, items get damaged during lamination, please keep a copy for your records. If the item is a legal original or highly important, we advise not to laminate it.
