Confronting Hate: 1937-1952

Promotional header for the "Confronting Hate: 1937-1952" travelling poster exhibit of the New-York Historical Society

This spring, the Phillip Capozzi, M.D. Library and the New York Medical College Office of the Chancellor are sponsoring the display of Confronting Hate: 1937-1952, a travelling poster exhibit organized by the New-York Historical Society in cooperation with the American Jewish Committee. The exhibit celebrates the work of the American Jewish Committee in using popular culture to fight prejudice during the Great Depression, Second World War and postwar eras.

From March through mid-April, the exhibit will be on display at the rear entrance of the Basic Sciences Building adjacent to the NYMC Cafe. From mid-April through the end of May, the exhibit will be on display in the elevator lobby on the ground floor of 19 Skyline Drive. During the week of January 27, a portion of the exhibit was on display in the lobby of the Medical Education Center to coincide with the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Black History Month lecture.
