Welcome! We look forward to supporting you throughout your Residency. NYMC has two different classifications of residents. Both receive the same library services. However, how you gain access to the library depends on which residency program you are in. Below are the instructions for setting up your library access.
If you are in an NYMC Graduate Medical Education (GME) sponsored program: you will receive instructions to set up your TouroOne account from the GME office. You will use this account to log in to library resources. You will log in following the steps for Users with TouroOne Credentials below.
If you are a resident at Westchester Medical Center (except for Ophthamology): you must create a library account using this form. Please allow 1 business day for processing before your account is active. You will log in following the steps for Users without TouroOne Credentials below.
All NYMC faculty, students, employees, residents, and fellows have online access to the Capozzi Library. Access to Capozzi Library's electronic resources is validated via OpenAthens. The system will prompt you to log in when you try to access one of our resources and remember you for the rest of your browser session.
How you log in is dependent on whether or not you have TouroOne credentials. Below are instructions for both cases. If you have any issues logging in, please contact Ask-a-Librarian.
1. Once you click onto one of our eResources, you will be presented with an OpenAthens login screen that looks like this:
2. Click on the “With your TouroOne credentials” option.
3. The system will redirect to the TouroOne login screen.
4. Use your network ID and password to login.
5. You will be prompted to complete the dual-factor authentication using Okta. Use either the Okta app or a code text messaged to your phone.
6. Upon successfully logging in, you will be redirected to the eResource you wanted to access.
