Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research.
Mendeley functions as a cross between a social networking site and a citation management software. The web component of the software deals more with finding and following different researchers and their work while the desktop component of the software focuses more on organizing and annotating citations. However, you can only format citations and a bibliography using the Word’s Mendeley Cite plugin, not the Desktop and Web versions of the software.
1. Go to https://www.mendeley.com/.
2. Click on the "Create a free" account button.
3. Enter your email address and click the Continue button.
4. Fill in the registration form and click the Register button.
