Grants, Awards, Scholarly Opportunities and Leadership Opportunities

The Brick Builder Grant - DEADLINE: JULY 31, 2024

Applications to the Brick Builder Grant program are being accepted. Designed for educators and students (student applications are welcome with a faculty advisor/reviewer) who want to share a new curriculum.

For this award, ScholarRx encourages applicants to focus on topics that aren't currently included in Rx Bricks, or emerging/evolving areas not well covered in medical schools. Preference will be given to applications with a clear plan for implementation in a medical or health science program.

Up to 50 grants will be awarded based on a competitive process. Awardees will receive:

  • $500 in funding for the successful application
  • Access to the ScholarRx Bricks Create authoring platform and the complete Rx Bricks digital library
  • ScholarRx training/support for orientation

Any curriculum brick modules developed through the grant would be open access to all.

The UAB IRACDA-MERIT (Mentored Experiences in Research, Instruction, and Teaching) Program is a fully fundedfour-year postdoctoral training program that aims to enhance and support your growth as a researcher, strengthen your teaching and leadership skills, and promote your career development.

Coming in early 2024, NEJM AI will evaluate cutting-edge AI applications transforming health care today. NEJM AI will publish original research, case studies, perspectives, policy commentary, and novel protocols and study designs.

Take part in shaping the responsible integration of AI within the health care system and contribute your work to NEJM AI.

Through a grant to Wiki Education from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) program, successful programs are eligible for $750 stipends to faculty & student teams that successfully design and implement Wiki editing assignments/courses.

Publish Your Paper in Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity is is an open access, peer reviewed journal with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches to the study of neurodevelopmental conditions and neurodiversity.

Scholarly Publishing Webinar Series, co-sponsored by Academic Medicine and MedEdPORTAL This monthly webinar series will cover the importance of publishing your education scholarship and practical suggestions for how to do so successfully. Sessions will include interactive exercises to practice what you have learned and time for Q&A with the featured panelists.
